What is a Massage Travel? Travelling, giving massage, being massaged and study?
That massage can be pleasant, we know. That it is healing and can resolve many complaints is also known. But that massage can restore as well physical ailments, mental problems and even spiritual disorders is less known.
Imagine that you can find the place of the complaints while giving massage and restore the problem in the same time. Working diagnostic while giving a recovering massage.
One step further. Sometimes its even better, being unknown of the disorders of the people while you are giving an intensive therapeutic massage. In this case you are not disturbed of preoccupations, prior knowledge or by extra treatment of the painful spots. You don’t need to have special gifts to give a massage like this. Everybody can learn it.

A new start in my old profession health and beauty! A Beauty Home in the busiest shopping street in Wadi Musa in Petra, the famous site in Jordan. Specialized in La Cure Dead Sea products with which I work already over 10 years with complete satisfaction. Combined with make up and other cosmetics and hair products. And beautiful jewellery.
To be able to furnish the building, we first had to take over the phone shop that was located there. A while we were talking to go into phones, but from these shops you have already around 10 in a dozen, and frankly it did not look.
Exclusive and not in Wadi Musa and actually throughout Jordan is a shop specializing in health-promoting and skin-enhancing products.
Anyone will have a skin diagnosis made by the Skin Microscope. The skin is 50 times magnified and you can as it were, look into the skin and thus determine the amount of dead skin cells. If the skin is “blocked” by a large amount of dead skin cells than the skin is barely able to absorb a cream with nourishing and restorative ingredients. (more…)
A honeymoon you make with your partner. A spiritual journey you make to yourself to grow to a higher level, closer to yourself and to find out who you are and what your path is in this life. The combination is very unusual. Yet my husband Rami and I chose to do this very special journey. To grow together by a deepening of the spiritual path. Surrounded by beloved ones of the family.
The journey led to Mecca and Medina, the small pilgrimage, the Omrah. Anyone who has the ability should once in his life make the Hajj, one of the pillars of Islam. The pilgrimage to the Kaaba, the house of Allah. Omrah is almost the same and you can do it as often you want in your life and in every season. Hajj is the great pilgrimage that is made every year by millions of people and therefore it is necessary that a limited number of people can make this trip. For Jordanians, it is only possible after your 60th birthday to make this trip.
Only Muslims are allowed in Mecca and Medina, for others are these sanctuaries closed.
Preparations started with the visa. (more…)
An unforgettable journey.
The beauty of the simplicity of the Bedouin tent. The overwhelming silence of the desert. The exceptionally tasty meals made at a simple fire in the open air. The softness and the deep warm color of desert sand. The stunning colors of the underwater world of the Red Sea. The bizarre and unique experience of floating in the Dead Sea. The friendly Jordanian people. Only a few elements of a very special journey. 7 women, seven very special days with much more than 7 beautiful conversations. By a country so diverse, so much to see. The team that was ready for us, really was there for us; flexible, caring, well organized, lots of laughs together. Together it was an unforgettable journey. Despite the turmoil in the Arab world, there was not one unsafe moment. In fact we have never felt so safe abroad. The memories we cherish in our hearts.
Thanks, Brenda, Rami, Bilal, Jamal, that you have madethis possible.
Greetings Tinka
A few of us still have many dreams about Jordan and the things we’ve been through. It’s something special that it is there so different than here. Nice to see.
I’ll take it slow now. The coming time. Many remembers with pleasure/enjoyment, walking, reflecting and tea. (with lots and lots of sugar, ha, ha)
I am very grateful to all of you that you are with me to travel and trusting that it would be alright.
I think that is a great compliment.

It’s high season. In Petra drive the touring cars back and forth to bring the 3000 visitors or more per day to visit the renowned new seventh wonder. A few hours and you have to go again in the bus to miss nothing of what Jordan even more has to offer.
The traders maximize to try to peddle their goods for which is a great demand. Souvenirs, necklaces and sand bottles are always good gifts to take home as a reminder to Petra.
Petra is a must-see when visiting Jordan. Like the Dead Sea, the desert of Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Amman, Jerash. Just enough for one week. Yes, you have seen Jordan in bird’s eye view and the sites are really beautiful.
It is also exciting to visit a Middle East country at this time. If you believe the media it is restless in the whole Arab world. Nothing is further from the truth. Jordan, I get regular messages from the Jordan Tourism Board, is a safe country and the king is doing everything to keep the country safe. Not just for tourists as they are the second source of national income but also for the residents.
But Jordan has so much more to offer. The little pearls, hidden in a shell and only to find by professionals. In the area of Petra (more…)
Never thought, the word pet (HOUSE animals) would be so appropriate.
Suppose, you build a house but still have no plans and money to finish building. The house is now in hull state. Built on top of the house of my husband’s family and next to his brother Ra’ad. Wadi Musa is a mountain village so most houses are built against the mountain.
Because we were not married and the house was not finished yet, we rented another house further down the mountain. Our landlord wants us to go out now because he can receive more rent from people who have dropped their eye on our house.
But the house above the family is not finished yet and is now in use by ANIMALS.
At the moment I came to live in Wadi Musa, I brought my horse and dog with me. My horse was brought together with the horse of Jamal, Rami’s other brother in a shed. But … .. the neighbours complained about the smell of the horses, which is actually strange in a place where around 700-1000 horses are living. The neighbour had to get rid of the stench, and one night he leaded the horses outside and brought the barn on fire.

Photographers, filmmakers, painters, poets, writers, experts in the art of living, what they have with Jordan?
Is it the enchanting setting, the light, the attraction of Arab culture?
Is it love at first sight? The country carries so much historical and religious aspects waiting to be mapped. Add to this a pinch of mystery, and you have the perfect mix of ingredients that you can experiment endlessly.
Jordan, safe haven in the Middle East hectic, is the home of a valuable treasure waiting to be found.
Petra is not for nothing announced as one of the new 7 world wonders.
The famous 7 herbs, a spicy blend of sensual (more…)
For one month I have lived in Wadi Musa (Petra) and to my surprise I have been practicing my old job again as a massage therapist.
Without any promotion, people have begun to find me. Initially I treated any complaints within the family and in the last few days there are everyday people (locals) on the door with various complaints.
Most particularly, I invariably use Arab exercise techniques such as:
Kasaath Hawa – through glass and fire creating a vacuum on the skin of the body which remove waste, relaxes the muscles and reduce colds and cough-
Khiaahh Milchh – with Dead Sea salt Stamps I treat certain pressure points on the body so the energy flows again, many complaints are removed, blockages are being dissolved, and fatigue will be conquered.
Jadestone – working with gems and jade massage to reach deep-seated problems at the physical, mental and spiritual level to resolve all kinds of vague symptoms that undermine the health-
Honey Massage – Massage that strongly interacts with the deep tissue to be cleared of all that old ingrained problems, also works strongly to detoxify and reduce size- (more…)
Moving for the thirds time within 16 months; From the Netherlands to Jordan, desert. From desert to a non touristic village: Quwayra. Then last week to the biggest touristic attraction in Jordan, one of the new 7 world wonders: Petra.
We live within walking distance of the attraction Petra and are yet in the heart of Wadi Musa, the city where Moses hit the mountain with his stick and where spring water still flows from the mountains.
Samiha, my horse, had already reached this destination one week earlier and is totally in love with Luca (more…)
Unnamed, she came, now her name is Samiha: generous, friendly, tolerant kind hearted, high exalted, praised and sublime.
Coming from the desert where we had eight horses we miss the companionship of a horse. “Brenda, you must have a good horse, Arabian blood, do not take the first best one offering you a horse”. “Mom, we really need a horse.” Jon wants to know where we stand. “I’m not leading the group on a horse I do not know.”
I try to soothe the minds and ask everyone to wait quietly insh’alla there will be a horse. On time!
Living in Jordan, you hear the word insh’allah daily. If God want it. I am confident that we will have a horse in advance. Several brothers are busy with this now and I still hope that our horses come to us. Nothing in a hurry.
On one day Ahmed called: “Brenda, I have maybe a horse. The boy works for the police and after work he rides every day. ” We want a horse with riding experience. It’s a stallion and knows everything. Ahmed told the man that the horse was a gift for me (so we have the opportunity to see the horse) and that he paid, but the price remains high. (more…)
